Doctor’s burned body along with cigarette, alcohol discovered in government hospital; Here's what happened

On the morning of February 3, a tragic incident occurred in the Bishangarh police station area of Jalore district, Rajasthan, when the burned body of a doctor was discovered in a government hospital compound. The incident took place inside a room in the Ummedabad Ayurveda Hospital, where Dr. Murarilal Meena, aged 45, resided.

According to Circle Officer Gautam Jain, smoke was noticed emanating from Dr. Meena's room early on Monday morning, prompting a call to the police. Upon arriving at the scene, authorities found Dr. Meena’s charred body inside the room. Preliminary investigations suggest that the doctor may have been smoking a cigarette when a fire broke out, trapping him in the blaze.

Family absent at time of incident

Officer Jain further explained that Dr. Meena lived in the hospital compound with his wife and son. However, at the time of the incident, his family was away in Jaipur attending a wedding, leaving Dr. Meena alone in the room.

Doctor’s health background

Authorities revealed that Dr. Meena had been experiencing pain in his body and knees, which made it difficult for him to move or sit comfortably. This information was gathered from his family and close associates.

Investigation underway, postmortem being conducted

At present, no formal case has been registered concerning the incident. Dr. Meena’s body has been sent for postmortem, and the investigation is ongoing to determine the exact cause of the fire.
