Kolkata: Earthquake of 5.5-magnitude hit the Narsingdi region of Bangladesh on Friday morning at 10:08:26 (UTC+05:30), as per the United States Geological Survey (USGS). The effect of the earthquake were so strong that the tremors were felt in the Northeast and Kolkata.

As per the primary reports, the earthquake were felt across West Bengal between 10.08 to 10.10 am.
