Karnataka News: A Bengaluru couple got trapped in scam and losed gold jewellery worth Rs 2.3 lakh. They posted Facebook Advertisement looking for maid and hired a live-in maid for the house. End up losing Gold jewellery. Ablijit Deb us an area business manager and his wife is senior process manager with work-from-home arrangement. The couple decided to get maid to look after their home. They posted Facebook Advertisement with the requirement of maid for &#39 Cook and Maid&#39 purpose in the first week of December . Immediately they recieved several response regarding the job. How they hired live-in maid onlineThey received multiple calls regarding the job via Facebook page. Later a woman, who claimed to be from Bengal , come in for the interview as Devonita Karmakuru .She agreed to do all the house chores, but refused to live-in with them . The maid called again after few weeks and said that she is willing to live-in with them . She started her job from 11 December , the couple provided her with room to stay and collect her document for identification and collect her Aadhaar card. Maid&#39s Master planAs per the report ,Abhijit left his home for work in morning. While his wife and father and maid was in home. Later in the afternoon his wife went to sleep. After waking up she couldn&#39t find the house help. To her surprise even the gold jewellery was absent from the house .Fake Identity of Maid.When the couple seek help from the police regarding the incident, and handed maid&#39s Aadhar card to the police , it was found that it was fake. Later, the couple claimed for not being aware and didn&#39t use police verfication help before hiring house-help .
