Dr. Abdullah Warns that Real Enemy Lies Within India (X/@ANI)
Dr. Farooq Abdullah, the president of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, has made a significant statement regarding India's current challenges, asserting that the nation faces a greater threat from internal divisions rather than external forces. Speaking at a recent function, Abdullah emphasized the necessity for unity among citizens to safeguard the future of India.
Abdullah highlighted that the real danger to India lies within its borders, where divisive narratives can lead to societal fragmentation. He criticized the narrative suggesting that Hindus are under threat, pointing out that with 80% of the population being Hindu, such claims are unfounded and serve only to instill fear among communities. He called for collective efforts to dismantle these falsehoods and promote harmony.

Reflecting on past misinformation during his tenure as chief minister, Abdullah recalled how fears were stoked regarding settlers from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. He also addressed the economic challenges following the abrogation of Article 370, warning that local jobs are increasingly being filled by outsiders, thus threatening the livelihoods of residents. Abdullah urged citizens to reconsider what they have gained from recent policy changes.
In his address, Abdullah reaffirmed his commitment to justice for all citizens, regardless of their background. He expressed disappointment over delays in implementing reservations for women in Parliament, stressing that true progress can only be achieved through gender equality.
Concluding his remarks, Abdullah urged party leaders to prioritize internal unity and work collaboratively towards nation-building. He reiterated that India's strength lies in its diversity and called for a united approach to ensure prosperity for all communities.
