Live-in Partner Brutally Assaults Student After Argument, Victim Critical In Hospital

New Delhi: A very sad and disturbing incident has come to light in Gurugram. A 19-year-old girl from Tripura, who is studying Biotechnology at GD Goenka University, was beaten to death by her roommate. Currently she is admitted to AIIMS Delhi. Police have arrested the accused Shivam (19 years old, Delhi resident) and the case has been registered against him.

When and how did both of them start living together?

Both of them met in September 2025. After that they started living together in a PG in Sector 69 of Gurugram. Both were going to get married soon. Their family members also know about their relationship. They are also preparing for their marriage. Everything seemed to be going in the right direction.

What happened at night that things got so bad?

An argument started over some issue at night. When the girl's mother came to know, she called the police and said that her daughter had been beaten badly by her boyfriend. The police immediately arrived and picked up Shivam from there. During examination, doctors found many serious injuries on the girl's body. Police believe that Shivam had become suspicious of the girl's character, which led to anger and a fight.

What is the condition of the girl now?

She was first admitted to the government hospital in Gurugram, but after seeing the injuries, the doctors immediately referred him to AIIMS Delhi. She is still undergoing treatment there. Police are saying that the condition was very critical, but now there is some improvement. 

What are the police doing?

DCP Hitesh Yadav said that Shivam has been arrested. An FIR has been registered and the entire incident is being investigated. It is being seen what the reason for the fight was and whether any more serious charges can be imposed. It will be clearly known only after the investigation is completed.

Two adults were living together, dreaming of marriage, but a moment's anger destroyed everything. In such cases, the most important thing is to learn to control anger in relationships. Hopefully the girl will recover soon and she will get complete justice.
