Hyderabad: Ferrari veers out of control in Jubilee Hills; several injured, multiple vehicles damaged

Hyderabad: Panic reigned in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad on Sunday when a speeding Ferrari driven by businessman Kranti Reddy lost control and veered into the opposite lane, colliding with several vehicles. The force of the collision damaged several cars and two-wheelers. The errant Ferrari itself sustained severe damages.

How did the police react?

According to police, the car suffered brake failure and a steering lock problem. Several passengers on the road were injured and were admitted to a nearby hospital. All are reported out of danger.

A light mast in the middle of the road also fell. Police immediately arrived at the scene and began efforts to clear the road. Traffic was disrupted and vehicles were diverted. A case has been registered based on the victims' complaint. The exact cause of the accident and the identities of the injured are not yet known. This incident comes at a time of growing concern about rash driving in luxury and premium cars.
