New Delhi: The weather patterns are changing rapidly across the country. With the entry of monsoon in Kerala, the period of heavy rains, storms and strong winds has started in many states. People got relief from the heat due to rain in many areas including Delhi-NCR on Thursday, but problems like waterlogging, falling trees and affected electricity systems were also seen at many places.

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of storm, rain and strong winds in 19 states of the country for June 5. In many areas the wind speed can reach 70 to 80 kilometers per hour.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of bad weather in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Bihar, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Kerala, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Assam.

How will the weather be in Delhi-NCR?

The capital Delhi and surrounding areas may remain cloudy on Friday also. There is a possibility of rain, strong winds and lightning along with thunder in many places.

According to the Meteorological Department, the wind speed can reach 50 to 60 kilometers per hour. Due to rain, the temperature will also drop and people will get relief from the heat.

Warning for which districts in Uttar Pradesh?

Alert of storm, rain and lightning has been issued in many districts of Uttar Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has issued orange alert for 21 districts and yellow alert for 17 districts.

There is a possibility of heavy rain in many districts including Agra, Mathura, Firozabad, Lucknow, Kanpur, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Sitapur, Shahjahanpur and Bareilly. During this period, winds can blow at a speed of 70 to 80 kilometers per hour.

What is the forecast in Bihar and Jharkhand?

There may be stormy winds along with heavy rain in many parts of Bihar and Jharkhand on Friday. There is also a possibility of hailstorm in some areas.

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather may remain bad in areas like Ranchi, Dhanbad, Bokaro, Giridih, Dumka, Jamtara and Sahebganj.

Rain, storms and hailstorms may continue in Madhya Pradesh for the next several days. The Meteorological Department has advised people to remain alert.

There is a possibility of strong winds at a speed of 50 to 60 kilometers per hour and lightning in many parts of the state.

Bad weather is also expected in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh on June 5 and 6. The effect of rain and strong winds can be seen in areas like Dehradun, Nainital, Haridwar, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Shimla, Mandi, Kangra and Chamba.
