Weather Updates: The weather has suddenly changed in different parts of the country. While many states of North India are scorching with intense heat and heat waves, the continuous rain in the northeastern states has created flood-like conditions. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued new alerts for different areas of the country, which include the possibility of rain, strong winds, and thunderstorms. The weather has become very unstable from the capital, Delhi, to Assam, Sikkim, and Uttar Pradesh.
Light rain and strong winds are expected in the national capital, Delhi, on Tuesday. According to the Meteorological Department, strong gusts and light rain on Sunday gave people some relief from the scorching heat. Now, due to the increase in humidity in the weather again, there may be drizzle in some areas in the next 24 hours. A slight drop in temperature has been recorded, due to which the weather will remain somewhat pleasant.
Monday's rain brought relief to the people of Rajasthan, who have been facing scorching heat for the last few weeks. Districts like Jaipur, Kota, Churu, and Ajmer received light to moderate rains, along with strong winds. People got relief due to the drop in temperature, although weather experts say that this change is temporary and the heat may increase again in the next few days.
The effect of heat and humidity still persists in Uttar Pradesh. However, IMD has issued a yellow alert for some districts. The Meteorological Department said that many areas will remain cloudy and winds can blow at a speed of 40 to 45 kilometers per hour. Light rain is expected in cities like Lucknow, Prayagraj, Varanasi, and Gorakhpur, but humidity may persist.
The continuous heavy rains in the northeastern states have had a bad effect on life. Flood-like conditions have arisen in many places in Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, and Sikkim. So far, over 36 lives have been lost, while three soldiers remain missing after being swept away in a landslide near the Chhaten region of Sikkim. The Meteorological Department says that rain may continue in this area for the next two days.
This time the monsoon knocked in India ahead of time, which raised hopes among farmers and the general public. But now IMD has said that the speed of the monsoon has slowed down. There is no possibility of much progress in the monsoon for the next 7 to 8 days. It has already reached South India, but its speed has slowed down in North and Central India.
While this change in the weather has given relief from heat in some states, the flood-like situation in the Northeast has increased the concern. Everyone's eyes are fixed on the warnings of the Meteorological Department to see how the situation will change further in the coming days. At this time, ensuring safety and maintaining vigilance are the most crucial steps to take
