Pakistan army soldiers conducted drone and artillery firing along the western border, which were duly countered by the Indian Army. The Pakistani soldiers also indulged in ceasefire violations at the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir and got a worthy response from the Indian security forces.

Blackout and Sirens in Jammu

A blackout was implemented in Jammu, and warning sirens blew following reports of artillery shelling and explosions. The city remains under high alert, with the security forces standing guard in soft spots.

Rajnath Singh Reviews National Security

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh met with the seniormost military brass to thoroughly review national security and addressed the top officials. Delhi was also placed on a high alert status, and the leaves of all city government workers have been canceled.

Airport Shutdowns and Travel Hiccup

Some 27 airports in the country have been shut down until May 15 based on the ongoing tensions. The Air India made the decision to cancel flights to Jammu, Srinagar, Leh, Jodhpur, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Bhuj, Jamnagar, and Rajkot.

Operation Sindoor: India's Revenge

India initiated Operation Sindoor, firing 24 missiles in 25 minutes at nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK) as a response to the Pahalgam attack that killed 26 people.
