National News: The camp in Shakargarh, Pakistan where Hamas commanders were training terrorists of Jaish-e-Mohammed and Hizbul Mujahideen to create bloodshed in Jammu and Kashmir has been razed to the ground by the Indian Army in Operation Sindoor. The operation targeted facilities linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and Hizbul Mujahideen, located in Muridke, Bahawalpur, and Muzaffarabad, following intelligence about plans for large-scale attacks in Kashmir. Triggered by the April 22 Pahalgam attack that killed 26 civilians, including tourists, the 25-minute missile and drone strikes killed over 100 terrorists. Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, briefing the nation, described the operation as a precise response to protect India’s sovereignty, earning widespread praise.
Indian intelligence, including inputs from the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), revealed that the targeted camps were training operatives for coordinated attacks on civilian and military targets in Kashmir, aiming to destabilize the region ahead of local elections. The Pahalgam attack, where terrorists singled out victims based on religion, exposed Pakistan’s role in fostering cross-border terrorism. Intercepted communications confirmed recruits were undergoing weapons and explosives training, with plans to infiltrate via the Line of Control. Operation Sindoor’s strikes destroyed armories, training grounds, and command centers, severely disrupting the terror network.
The operation has galvanized India, with PM Modi stating in a May 26 Gujarat rally, “My blood boiled after Pahalgam; we acted for 140 crore Indians.” X posts reflect public support, with hashtags like #SindoorSamman trending. Globally, Iran and the UAE condemned the Pahalgam attack, while Pakistan’s call for talks on May 26 signals diplomatic pressure. The BJP hailed the strikes as a testament to India’s zero-tolerance policy, though Pakistan’s suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty has raised concerns. Operation Sindoor underscores India’s resolve to crush terrorism, reinforcing its stance against threats emanating from Pakistani soil.
