The long-drawn operation to neutralise the four terrorists, titled Operation ‘Trinetra 2’, required the use of sophisticated night surveillance weaponry and drones.

At dawn today, the encounter started again with a heavy exchange of fire between the security forces and terrorists,” the Indian Army said.

The terrorists who had been killed in Poonch were likely of foreign origin and their identities are being ascertained.
