In a chilling case reminiscent of the Shraddha Walkar murder, Jharkhand witnessed a horrific crime where a man brutally killed his live-in partner and dismembered her body into several pieces. The accused, identified as Naresh Bhengra, a 25-year-old meat worker, discarded the body parts in the forest to be devoured by animals.The incident came to light on November 24 when villagers in Jariagarhs Jordag area spotted a stray dog carrying a human hand. Shocked, they informed the police, leading to the gruesome discovery of the victims remains.Victim and accused: A troubled relationshipThe victim, Gangi Kumari, was in a live-in relationship with Naresh. Both hailed from Khunti and had previously lived together in Tamil Nadu. However, complications arose when Naresh secretly married another woman upon returning to Jharkhand. Despite this, he continued his relationship with Gangi.On November 8, the couple arrived in Khunti, where Gangi expressed her desire to visit Nareshs family home. Instead of taking her there, Naresh led her to a forest under the pretext of waiting. Returning with a sharp weapon, he first raped her, then strangled her to death using her scarf. The horror didnt end there—he dismembered her body into 40-50 pieces.Investigation and arrestKhunti SP Aman Kumar revealed that the body parts were found scattered in the forest. A bag containing Gangis Aadhaar card and personal belongings was also recovered. Naresh, a professional meat worker, was arrested promptly and has confessed to the crime.
