National News: The government has taken a big decision to further strengthen the security of the country. The Ministry of Defense issued a new notification on 27 May 2025, under which new rules have been implemented for better coordination and control between the Army, Navy, and Air Force. These rules have been made under the "Inter Services Organization (Command, Control and Discipline) Act 2023."
The purpose of this step is to improve the way of working among the three armies and make the operation more effective. Now the commanders of the three armies will have more authority and control in their respective areas, which will maintain speed and discipline in the work.
The Ministry of Defense said that the new rules will increase cooperation between the three armies and they will be able to work together. This will enable an immediate and better response in border fighting or any emergency situation. Earlier, where there were problems in coordination between different armies, now with the new rules that problem will be eliminated to a great extent.
The post of Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) was created in 2019, the purpose of which was to bring all three armies under one commander. Now, after the new rules, the CDS will have better control over all three armies. This will make military operations more organized and effective.
The new rules will also improve the discipline and administration of the three armies. This will make it easier to maintain discipline among the soldiers, and immediate action can be taken on indiscipline. Also, this will improve administrative work, and there will be no unnecessary delay.
Security experts believe that this step is important in the direction of making India's defense system modern and strong. Better coordination of the three armies will further strengthen India's security on the borders. This will make it easier for the country to face any threat.
