Karnataka: A murder case so shocking has emerged in Karnatakas Belagavi district. It is claiming to have performed such a gory murder on her husband and is under arrest for that. She strangled him and smashes his face with stone on 8th December, and then dismembered the body of that man. She claimed she killed her husband as he used to make offensive remarks against her. He is said to be violent to his wife, Savithri, who is 40 years old. The police report indicates that the couple had a fight over a piece of land owned by Savithri. He forced her in the fight to sell the piece of land and buy a new motorcycle for him during the fight. It ended up becoming violent since Savithri allegedly killed him since he was sleeping outside their house.Body FoundSrimantha was found dead in Umarani village on 10 Dec. At first, the police did not suspect Savithri. But when the police were questioning her further, she said that she had murdered him. As per the police, later she smashes his face by rolling the boulder she had found there and then removes the boulder and the two barrels in which she carries his body.Community ReactionIt shocked the whole locality beyond beliefs. Superintendent of Police, Bhimashankar Guled, from Belagavi commented that such case made a huge worry regarding the prevalence of domestic violence and tragic effects it bears for its victims family and next of kin.
