Punjab: Farmers in Punjab are ramping up their protests as the Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee (KMSC) announces a series of rallies to mobilize support for their ongoing demands. The rallies are set to take place in Amritsar district, with key events scheduled for January 23, 24, and 25.

Upcoming Rallies to Mobilize Support

KMSC leader Sarwan Singh Pandher confirmed that rallies will be held at Jandiala Guru on January 23, Kathunangal on January 24, and Chamiari village on January 25. These gatherings aim to intensify the farmers' movement and press the central government to meet their demands, including a legal guarantee for the Minimum Support Price (MSP). "We are determined to make our voices heard," Pandher stated during a press conference.

Tractor Rally and March Plans

The KMSC is also organizing a tractor rally on January 26 and a march to the Shambhu border on January 29. Pandher emphasized that hundreds of tractor-trailers will participate in the rally, showcasing the unity and determination of farmers in their struggle. "This is not just about us; it's about all farmers across India," he added.

Pressing for Farmers' Rights

The committee's actions come in response to ongoing frustrations with government policies regarding agriculture. Farmers are demanding not only legal guarantees for MSP but also better support systems to address their grievances. The upcoming rallies are expected to draw significant participation, reflecting the urgency of their cause.
