New Delhi: South Korean President Lee Jae-myung reached New Delhi on Sunday on a three-day state visit. This is his first official visit to India, which is taking place at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A large group of ministers, senior officials and industry representatives have also come with him.
At this time, both countries want to give new momentum to strategic and technical cooperation, hence this visit is considered very important from the point of view of India-South Korea relations.
The biggest objective of this visit is to further strengthen the special strategic partnership between the two countries. The visit of a South Korean president to India after almost eight years is also special because it seems to be a new beginning in relations. There is going to be a detailed conversation between Prime Minister Modi and President Lee Jae-myung on Monday. In these areas both countries can complement each other's strengths well.

President Lee will meet with Indian President Draupadi Murmu. Apart from this, there are also delegation-level meetings, business round tables and other official programs. He will also attend the state banquet.

Foreign Minister S Jaishankar said that this visit can give a new direction to the relations between the two countries. He expressed hope that the talks between the two leaders will deepen cooperation.
