Lok Sabha Elections 2024: The Trinamool Congress (TMC), under the leadership of Mamata Banerjee, has revealed its comprehensive list of candidates for all 42 constituencies in West Bengal for the imminent Lok Sabha elections. The announcement, made on Sunday, features prominent personalities including former cricketer Yusuf Pathan and fiery leader Mahua Moitra.

Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Notable nominations

Former cricketer Yusuf Pathan has been nominated by the TMC to contest from Berhampore, challenging Congress' Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury. Firebrand leader Mahua Moitra has been re-nominated to represent the Krishnanagar constituency. Additionally, former cricketer Kirti Azad will be running on the TMC ticket from Durgapur.

Abhishek Banerjee, the party's general secretary and Mamata's nephew, will contest from the party stronghold of Diamond Harbour. Actor Shatrughan Sinha has been named as the candidate for the Asansol seat.

The TMC's candidate list reflects a diverse array of individuals, including youth leaders and seasoned politicians. Notably, Debangshu Bhattacharya, renowned for his involvement in the 'khela hobe' campaign, has been chosen to contest from Tamluk.
