Low Visibility Prevents PM Modi’s Helicopter from Landing in Taherpur, Returns to Kolkata Airport (X @sansad_tv)
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s helicopter failed to land at the Taherpur helipad in West Bengal due to low visibility amid dense fog in the area on Saturday (December 20, 2025), as per the official.
It is to be noted here that PM Modi’s chopper made a U-turn after hovering over the helipad ground for sometime and later it returned to the Kolkata airport, as per the official.
PM Modi is in Assam today on a two-day visit (20–21 Dec). He will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of projects worth around Rs. 15,600 crore in Assam. PM Modi will inaugurate the New Terminal Building of Lokapriya Gopinath Bardoloi International Airport. India’s first nature-themed airport terminal, the airport’s design draws inspiration from Assam’s biodiversity and cultural heritage under the theme “Bamboo Orchids”.
On 21st December, PM Modi will pay tribute to martyrs at Swahid Smarak Kshetra in Boragaon, Guwahati. PM Modi will then travel to Namrup in Dibrugarh, Assam, where he will perform Bhoomi Pujan for the Ammonia-Urea Project of Assam Valley Fertilizer and Chemical Company Ltd.
