Crime News:  A horrific incident unfolded in Rewa district where a young man savagely killed his own father with a stick and then crushed his head with a stone. The gruesome act left the local community in shock, as fear and disbelief spread throughout the village. The accused didn’t stop at killing his father—he also attacked his mother, who narrowly escaped with her life.

Tragedy strikes Kuari village

The shocking event occurred in Kuari village, under the jurisdiction of the Gudh police station, on Sunday evening. The accused, identified as 26-year-old Anil Saket, got into an argument with his 50-year-old father, Ramashrya Saket. The verbal spat quickly escalated, and Anil launched a brutal assault on his father, striking him repeatedly. Police responded promptly and arrested Anil shortly after the incident.

Why did son turn violent?

According to Jyoti Saket, Anil’s sister, the root of her brother’s violent behavior was his addiction to alcohol. For the past few days, he had been coming home intoxicated, leading to frequent quarrels with their father. "When my father tried to stop him, he would become violent," Jyoti explained.

On the night of the tragedy, Ramashrya was resting on his bed when Anil started creating a scene. When his father intervened, Anil began hitting him. "I tried to step in, but he attacked me too," Jyoti said. Anil then picked up a stick and relentlessly beat their father until he collapsed. Not stopping there, he grabbed a large stone and smashed it against his father’s head.

Villagers intervene

After the murder, Anil tried to flee, but local villagers captured him, tied him to a tree, and alerted the authorities. The police arrived shortly after and took him into custody.
