Crime News: In a disturbing incident that has rocked Belwana village in Giridih, Jharkhand, a young man was brutally murdered on September 16. The police have arrested the victim’s wife, Khushboo Khatoon, and her brother-in-law, Mohammad Zakir, in connection with the crime. Investigators are currently working to identify a third accomplice who also played a role in this tragic event.
According to police reports, the murder of Mustakim was the result of a shocking betrayal. Mustakim, aged 25, discovered his wife engaged in an inappropriate situation with Zakir, who is 30 years old and had been living with them as a tenant. A heated confrontation ensued in their bedroom, escalating into a violent argument. During this confrontation, Mustakim threatened to expose the affair and file for divorce, a move that infuriated Khushboo.
Feeling cornered, Khushboo conspired with Zakir to eliminate Mustakim once and for all. They enlisted the help of a third individual, whose identity is still under investigation.
On the night of September 16, Khushboo, Zakir, and their accomplice executed their deadly plan. After killing Mustakim, they disposed of his body in a nearby field under the cover of darkness. The following morning, villagers discovered the lifeless body and immediately alerted the authorities.
Police swiftly apprehended both Khushboo and Zakir, both of whom have reportedly confessed to the crime. Their interrogation is ongoing as investigators work to piece together the full extent of the events leading to this heinous act.
Love story turned tragic
Mustakim had been married to Khushboo for just three months, following Muslim customs. Friends and family describe him as a simple man who loved his wife deeply. The betrayal he faced has left the community in shock. Villagers are questioning the motivations behind Khushboo’s actions, with some stating, “If Khushboo truly loved her brother-in-law, she should have married him instead of killing Mustakim. What did she gain by committing such a brutal act?”
