Mann Ki Baat: PM Modi Hails Homecoming Of Historic Chola Treasure, Calls It A 'Moment Of Pride' (x)
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed citizens in India and abroad on Sunday through the 134th episode of his monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat. During the address, he hailed the recent achievements of Indian athletes and the return of ancient Chola-era copper plates from the Netherlands.
While praising country's sporting talent, PM Narendra Modi, during the monthly radio programme said that athletes have delivered exceptional performances and brought pride to the nation.
PM Modi also said that their efforts are setting new benchmarks and inspiring the next generation of sportspersons.
During the Mann Ki Baat programme, PM Modi interacted with sprinters Gurindervir Singh and Animesh Kujur, who shared about their friendship, training routines and healthy rivalry on the track.
"We are friends and help each other during practice, but when the race begins, we become competitors," Gurindervir told PM Modi.

PM Modi during the radio programme also shared guidance on dealing with the scorching heatwave conditions. The Prime Minister urged citizens to remain alert and take maximum precautions to protect themselves during extreme temperatures.
The Prime Minister stressed the importance of hydration, avoiding unnecessary exposure to heat, and following safety measures to prevent heat-related illnesses.
Speaking during his monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat, PM Modi recalled his recent visit to the Netherlands and highlighted the return of ancient Chola-era copper plates from the Netherlands, calling the development as a moment that filled every Indian with pride.
