Mumbai: On January 2, 2025, a heart-wrenching incident took place when a 76-year-old woman, Bharti Narayan Gandhi, in her seventh-floor apartment at her residential building in Dadar (East), was found dead after she jumped. The incident occurred at Mohan Naik Society on GD Ambedkar Road in Morachi Wadi around 2:30 PM. The Bhoiwada police were alerting the police station and reached the spot in no time. Upon reaching the KEM Hospital, Gandhi was pronounced dead on arrival.Health and griefShe had been living at Mohan Naik Society for over two decades. According to sources, she was suffering from hypertension and diabetes, which caused a severe decline in her health. Her husband was dead since September 7, 2024.
