MP News: In a bizarre theft attempt, two thieves dressed in girls' clothing tried to rob an ATM in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. The incident occurred at the Bank of Maharashtra ATM located in Fazalpura within the Chimanganj Mandi police station area, around 4:15 am. The miscreants first sprayed the CCTV cameras to hide their identities before they began tampering with the machine.

ATM siren foils robbery attempt

As the duo lowered the shop’s shutter and tried to break into the ATM, the machine’s siren rang, alerting the authorities. A call was made to the bank manager, prompting the miscreants to flee the scene before completing their theft. Upon receiving the information, local police, along with an FSL team, arrived to investigate the incident.

CCTV footage helps identify the culprits

CCTV footage from the scene revealed the miscreants' appearance, with both individuals wearing girls' attire in an attempt to conceal their identities. The footage also shows that the thieves arrived in an auto-rickshaw. The police are currently using the video to trace the criminals and are gathering information about the rickshaw driver to aid in the investigation.
