In a chilling incident from Patnas Paliganj area, a man murdered his lovers mother-in-law after she opposed their illicit relationship. The crime occurred on Thursday night in Deoria village, under the Sigodi police station. The victim, identified as Guddi Devi (40), was brutally attacked and killed by the accused, Sundar Yadav.Murder over love affairThe tragic events unfolded after Guddi Devi discovered her daughter-in-laws affair with Sundar Yadav, a resident of the same village. Guddi began opposing the relationship, which enraged Sundar. According to Paliganj DSP-1 Pritam Kumar, the accused had been romantically involved with Guddis daughter-in-law for several days.On the night of the murder, Sundar entered the house while the family was asleep. He first attacked Guddi Devi with a sharp weapon, severely injuring her. To ensure she was dead, he shot her in the mouth, killing her instantly. Shockingly, the incident occurred in the presence of her husband.Arrest and investigationPolice arrested Sundar Yadav shortly after the incident.
