India Daily: After  Pahalgam terror attack on 22 April, public consciousness and emotions were at their peak across the country. At such a time, the one platform that gained the most trust for providing the most reliable, detailed and accurate information to the public was India Daily. After the attack, not only did the number of news viewers increase, but the time spent by people on news increased by 500%. When it comes to the country, there is no compromise. When it comes to the security of the country, there is no deal. This is the thinking shown by the readers of India Daily. In times of crisis, the country's inclination towards nationalism and accurate news was clearly visible and this trend was also clearly visible on Google Trends and other analytics platforms.

Pahalgam became the target of terrorism

On April 22, five terrorists attacked tourists with modern weapons like M4 carbines and AK-47s in Baisaran Valley, Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The attack killed 26 innocent civilians, most of whom were Hindus, including a Christian tourist and a brave Muslim local pony operator who tried to stop the attackers.

India responded with Operation Sindoor

On the fifteenth day of the attack, the Indian government launched Operation Sindoor, a focused and high-precision mission aimed at destroying terrorist launchpads based in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoJK). During the operation, more than 100 terrorists were killed and nine major terrorist bases were destroyed. After May 7, Pakistan retaliated with small arms fire, drone attacks and heavy shelling. On May 9, India destroyed Pakistan's HQ-9B air defense system in Lahore. On May 10, the Indian Air Force carried out massive air strikes on eight major airbases of Pakistan.

Diplomatic pressure and declaration of ceasefire

On the evening of 10 May, after mediation by top US leaders, Pakistan's DGMO contacted India directly. After this, India formally announced ceasefire at 5:00 pm. After the Pahalgam attack, when the people of the country were looking for true and unbiased news, India Daily not only gave factual coverage but also presented every aspect of the incident without any distortion. This was the reason why people spent hours on India Daily and this platform was the most searched on social media and Google. India Daily witnessed a record-breaking increase of 500% in its time spend. This unprecedented growth made it clear that when the country is in crisis, the public trusts the media organisation that shows the truth, asks questions and speaks fearlessly in the national interest and this time that trust was bestowed upon India Daily.
