The case revolving around Prajwal Revanna is leading to new twists and turns every day. Leader of the JD(S), HD Kumaraswamy, on Thursday accused the Karnataka Congress administration of misusing its authority in the Prajwal Revanna issue. The former chief minister of Karnataka lashed out and questioned the Congress where the 2900 women had reportedly been assaulted by their nephew in the claimed explicit videos. He demanded a "fair probe" by the BJP-led Central government.

A group of leaders of the JD(S) met with Karnataka Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot and submitted a memorandum urging for an "impartial probe" into the case.

The matter was highlighted when at least 2900 purported videos of Prajwal Revanna abusing women were shared across

Karnataka. Notably, the Karnataka government has formed a Special Investigation Team to probe into the case.

NCW claims this

There is another twist in the case, the National Commission for Women (NCW) on Friday stated that a woman approached them and that she had been forced to file a complaint against Revanna for abuse and kidnapping. Reports also claimed that she has been receiving threats from multiple numbers. In addition, the department also claimed that they have not received complaints from 700 women regarding the Prajwal Revanna case and added that it is falsely reported.

Notably, a Special Investigative Team (SIT) appointed by the Karnataka government is probing into charges of sexual harassment and criminal intimidation against Prajwal Revanna and his father, HD Revanna. The investigation was prompted by a complaint from a lady who worked in their home. Meanwhile, since Prajwal Revanna is on flee, his father HD Revanna has been placed in judicial custody till May 14. He was detained by the SIT in connection with a case of alleged kidnapping that was filed at the Bengaluru police station, KR Nagar.
