In a major recruitment drive, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar handed over appointment letters to 21,391 newly recruited police personnel at a special ceremony held at Bapu Auditorium on Saturday. He announced that all sanctioned posts will be filled by year-end.

Youth Power to Strengthen Law and Order

Congratulating the new recruits, the Chief Minister said he believes they will serve the state with honesty and commitment. He noted that their work will help improve security and create a safer environment for all citizens.
Taking to social media, CM Kumar posted, “I congratulate all the newly appointed police personnel. I’m confident they will perform their duties with full honesty and strengthen the law-and-order system in Bihar.”

Full Recruitment by Year-End

Nitish Kumar further shared that the state government is working quickly to fill all approved positions in the police department. He mentioned that over 2.29 lakh posts have been created and efforts are underway to complete hiring by the end of this year. He emphasized that this will not only enhance the strength of the Bihar Police but also offer new employment opportunities to the youth of the state.

New Six-Lane Bridge to Boost Connectivity

Earlier this week, the Chief Minister also inaugurated the Kacchi Dargah-Bidupur Bridge, a six-lane bridge over the Ganges River, which will improve regional transport. The bridge connects Kacchi Dargah in Patna with Bidupur in Vaishali, covering 9.76 km and linking NH 31 to NH 322. Local residents celebrated the development. “For the first time since independence, we’ll have direct access to Patna. This is life-changing,” said Uday Kumar Singh, a resident of the area. The bridge project, which began in 2015, is set to be fully completed by July 2025. Another bridge between Arrah and Chhapra is also in the planning stage to further improve the state’s road network.
