Nitish Kumar Resigns As Bihar CM, To Take Oath on November 20 (X @NitishKumar)
Bihar: Ahead of the oath ceremony on November 20, Nitish Kumar has resigned as the Bihar Chief Minister after meeting Governor Arif Mohammad Khan. Nitish Kumar has also submitted claim to form a new government in Bihar.
As Nitish Kumar has submitted his resignation, he will take oath as Bihar Chief Minister on November 20.
Meanwhile, after NDA legislative party meeting, BJP leader Prem Kumar said, "We will work to meet the expectations of people. We believe in doing our work. That is the reason that I have been elected for the 9th time. NDA has received such a massive mandate in Bihar. There was bumper voting. All sections of society have reposed their faith in NDA. We will continue doing development work."
Ahead of Bihar government formation, State BJP chief Dilip Jaiswal said, "Today, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar submitted his resignation to the Governor, and it has been accepted. Until the next oath-taking ceremony, Nitish Kumar has been appointed as the caretaker Chief Minister. The oath-taking ceremony will be held tomorrow.”
Talking about Nitish Kumar's oath ceremony, JD(U) leader K C Tyagi, said, “In 1974, Bihar showed a way to the nation from Gandhi Maidan. Nitish Kumar will take oath as CM in the same Gandhi Maidan tomorrow,” says JD(U) leader K C Tyagi.
On the NDA’s landslide victory in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak said, "PM Modi’s policies to uplift the underprivileged and Bihar CM-designate Nitish Kumar’s good governance are the reasons the NDA secured a landslide victory in the Bihar Assembly elections. People wanted freedom from ‘jungle raj’ and poverty. Today, Bihar has gained momentum and is moving rapidly towards development. Everyone has risen above caste, religion and community lines to bless the NDA and the BJP with a massive majority.”
It is to be noted here that earlier today a meeting of the Janata Dal (united) legislative party was held at Nitish Kumar's residence. During the BJP legislative meeting party meeting today, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary was appointed as the leader of the legislative party. Meanwhile, Vijay Sinha was elected as the deputy leader at the meeting.
