Election Commission's clarification

The Election Commission held a press conference on Sunday and called Rahul Gandhi's allegations baseless. The Commission said that the SIR process is completely transparent and all stakeholders are involved in it. The Commission has asked Rahul Gandhi to provide an affidavit and evidence within seven days or tender a public apology.

The aim of the 'Voter Rights Yatra'

The yatra started from Sasaram on Sunday and will continue for 16 days. The aim of the yatra is to spread public awareness against the disputes related to the voter list and allegations of 'vote theft' in Bihar. The campaign will cover a distance of 1300 km, covering more than 20 districts. It will conclude with a huge public meeting in Patna on September 1, in which big leaders of India Block are likely to participate.
