Opposition On PM Modi's 'Drama' Remark: It Was Started By The BJP (X/Screengrab/ANI)
Delhi: As the Parliament Winter Session started today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed the vice president CP Radhakrishnan. Ahead of the Parliament Session, PM Modi briefed the media. During his address, PM Modi took a jibe at the opposition and said "This session should focus on what this Parliament thinks about the country, what it wants to do for the country.
PM added, ''The focus should be on these issues. The opposition should also fulfill its responsibility. They should raise such issues, strong issues.''
And now many opposition leaders have reacted on PM Modi's remark. Reacting on PM Modi's 'drama' remark against the opposition, Congress MP KC Venugopal said, "Whenever you are making a statement, at least think about what you people are doing. The Prime Minister is talking about sloganeering. It was started by the BJP when they raised slogans of 'Modi- Modi'.''
He said, ''When Pt Jawaharlal Nehru, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Indira Gandhi, and so many people were Prime Ministers, did you witness any such thing during their terms? Did people chant their names when they entered the House?... We are agitating. The opposition's role is to criticise the government's policies. But the government is raising slogans and then advising us against sloganeering... SIR is not just an issue; the election system has collapsed in the country. The Election Commission has become a party to everything. It is no more conducting free and fair elections. We need to reinstate democracy in the country."
Further reacting on PM Modi's statement, Congress MP Tariq Anwar said, "PM Modi is the one who does all the drama...The opposition should be given the opportunity to raise their issues..."
Congress MP Kumari Selja says, "The nation and the world know that the BJP is the one creating drama. Opposition, and especially the Congress, does not believe in drama. We always ask for work and delivery. We are raising our voice because there is no delivery... Why are the people losing faith in the Election Commission?..."
On PM Modi's "Drama nahi delivery" jab at Opposition, LJP (Ramvilas), MP Arun Bharti said, " The PM has said absolutely right as it is the expectation of the public that the Parliament will function and policies will be formed. The main thing is that the Opposition should cooperate to run the Parliament and polices are formed in the interest of the nation."
Reacting to PM Modi’s remark, ‘The focus should be on neeti (policy), not nara (slogans),’ TMC’s Kalyan Banerjee said, "…When policy is finished in the country, when democracy is finished, when all policies are thrown away, what will remain? Slogans. What was it earlier? It was the voters, the people. Who would form the government? The people. And what has happened during Modi ji’s time now? Modi ji controls the people through the Election Commission. Who will create the voters? Those who will vote for him. So now, it is not the people, but Narendra Modi’s selected individuals who will decide who forms the government. This is the difference between neeti and nara.”

When asked what will happen in Bengal, Banerjee said, "In 2026, Mamata Banerjee will again become the Chief Minister. And the BJP will not even get 30 seats. Ask Modi ji and Amit Shah to camp there if they want.”
