Police announce Rs 20 lakh reward for information leading to Pahalgam attack (Social media)
Posters of the terrorists who brutally murdered 26 tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on April 22 have been released. Terrorist hunters have been pasted in various areas of Jammu and Kashmir. A Rs 20 lakh reward has been offered for any information that can lead to his arrest. It has been mentioned by the police that the names of the persons who provide information about the terrorists who carried out the Pahalgam terror attack and their associates will not be disclosed.
Adil Thokar, a local of Anantnag district, is the prime accused in the April 22 Pahalgam massacre. He is said to have traveled to Pakistan in 2018 where he was subjected to terror training before being back in Jammu and Kashmir last year. Police suspect that he was performing the role of a local guide for Pakistani terrorists. Asif Sheikh, a Pulwama local, is also under the suspicion of involvement in the attack.The police had already released the sketches of Thokar and two other militants. Previously, the Jammu and Kashmir administration did extensive work on April 25 in the case of the Pahalgam attack and demolished the two terrorists' homes in Tral (Pulwama) and Bijbehara (Anantnag). Asif Sheikh's home in Tral and Adil Thokar's home in Bijbehara in Pulwama district were reduced to rubble.
India conducted Operation Sindoor during the intervening night of 6-7 May to take revenge for the Pahalgam attack and eliminate the hideouts of the terrorists involved in the attack. The Indian Air Force struck 9 terrorist camps in Pakistan and PoK with missiles and drones. India also eliminated the hideout of Jaish gangster Masood Azhar in Bahawalpur, Pakistan. Besides this, Lashkar's training camp in PoK was also eliminated. It is assumed that over 100 terrorists died in this action.
