Pakistani troops resorted to cross-border shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district for the second consecutive day on Thursday, a day after targeting terror infrastructure in the neighbouring country as part of Operation Sindoor. Officials said shells and mortars were fired from the Pakistani side after midnight, targeting civilian areas in the Karnah area.

The Indian Armed Forces responded effectively to the unprovoked firing. There are no reports of any casualties so far.
