Eight Congress MPs from Lok Sabha suspended for throwing papers at Lok Sabha Chair

The total of 8 MPs included Hibi Eden, Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, Manickam Tagore, Gurjeet Singh Aujla, Kiran Kumar Reddy, Prashant Padole, S Venkatesan and Dean Kuriakose.

Delhi: Amid the ongoing budget session of Parliament, after much uproar in Lok Sabha and the incident of papers being thrown towards the Chair, a strict measures was taken. Following the incident, as many as eight Congress MPs were suspended.

As per the reports, the total of 8 MPs include Hibi Eden, Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, Manickam Tagore, Gurjeet Singh Aujla, Kiran Kumar Reddy, Prashant Padole, S Venkatesan and Dean Kuriakose.

Meanwhile, after the much uproar in the parliament, Congress MPs including Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and other MPs gathered at Makar Dwar of the Parliament to protest against the suspension of 8 MPs from Lok Sabha and against the India-US trade agreement.

After being suspended from the Lok Sabha, Congress MP Hibi Eden said, "The Leader of Opposition clearly mentioned why he is not able to speak inside the Parliament. It is because of the kind of surrender the Prime Minister has made in front of America, how the trade agreement was signed, and the shady things which have happened in the trade agreement.''

He added, ''Epstein is something which has to be discussed in the parliament, but all these things have not been discussed. We would continue our protest inside and outside the house. Eight of our MPs are suspended, but we will continue our fight inside and outside the parliament."

Meanwhile, on the suspension of 8 MPs from the Lok Sabha, DMK MP Kanimozhi said, "There is no meaning of any debates in parliament if the treasury benches have to decide what the opposition has to speak. What is the point of any discussion or debate in parliament? If you let us speak, then there is no need for any ruckus. I don't understand why 8 MPs should be suspended for no reason..."
