New Delhi: As the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 draw near, political tensions in the state are intensifying. Scheduled for February 5, these elections promise a fierce triangular contest among the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Congress. The AAP aims to secure a third consecutive term, while the BJP seeks to reclaim power in Delhi after a 27-year hiatus. Meanwhile, the Congress, which previously dominated Delhi for 15 years, is grappling with its diminishing influence.

Predictions from Phalodi Satta Bazar

In Phalodi Satta Bazar, renowned for its election forecasts, players are sensing a significant shift in Delhi's political landscape. They anticipate that this election could bring unprecedented changes to the political dynamics of the city.

Congress Struggles for Relevance

The Congress party's position appears precarious. Having failed to win a single seat in the past two assembly elections since 2013, predictions from Phalodi suggest that Congress may only secure three seats this time around. This outcome would further underscore its ongoing struggle to regain prominence in Delhi politics.

BJP's Ambitious Goals

For the BJP, this election is crucial. After being out of power since 1993, the party is optimistic about winning between 25 and 35 seats. Although this number falls short of a majority, candidates like Pravesh Verma and Ramesh Bidhuri have bolstered their appeal among voters. Allegations of corruption against the AAP have also contributed to the BJP's strengthened position.

AAP's Quest for Retention

The AAP, which achieved significant victories with 67 seats in 2015 and 62 seats in 2020, is determined to maintain its grip on power. However, forecasts indicate they may end up with only 37 to 39 seats this time. Despite facing corruption allegations against its leadership, AAP's welfare initiatives continue to resonate positively with Delhi's electorate. As the election date approaches, all eyes will be on these parties as they navigate this critical political battleground.
