Varanasi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off four new Vande Bharat Express trains today. These trains will run on the Banaras-Khajuraho, Lucknow-Saharanpur, Firozpur-Delhi, and Ernakulam-Bengaluru routes, which will save time and increase convenience for passengers.

In the program, the prime minister said that the foundation of progress of any city is strong connectivity. He said that infrastructure is not just big bridges or highways but the structure that connects people and changes everyday life. He described the pilgrimage as an emotional awakening experience for the country and said better connections provide an immediate boost to the local economy.

Banaras-Khajuraho Vande Bharat

This new service will make travel between Banaras and Khajuraho very easy. Now this distance will be covered in just 2 hours and 40 minutes. On the way, access to religious-cultural centers like Prayagraj and Chitrakoot will become easier, which will be beneficial for both tourism and local business.

Lucknow-Saharanpur Vande Bharat

The journey from Lucknow to Saharanpur will now be completed in about 7 hours 45 minutes, which means a saving of about one hour between many cities of eastern-western Uttar Pradesh. This will improve the accessibility of passengers to Haridwar and further routes.

Firozpur-Delhi Vande Bharat

This train will be the fastest option on this route and will cover the distance in 6 hours and 40 minutes. Timely connectivity of the national capital with the cities of Punjab—Bathinda, Patiala, and Ferozepur—will create new opportunities for business and employment.

Ernakulam-Bangalore Vande Bharat

In the south, this train will reduce the journey by more than two hours and complete it in about 8 hours 40 minutes. Connecting IT and business hubs, this service will prove to be a fast and convenient option for professionals, students, and tourists.

These four new services will not only save time for passengers but will also give a new boost to the economy and tourism of the connected areas. Vande Bharat trains are a great example of indigenous technology, which is strengthening 'Make in India.' Their comfortable coaches, fast speed, and modern facilities make the journey memorable.
