National News: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who visited Jammu and Kashmir for the first time after the Pahalgam terror attack, while addressing a public meeting in Katra, said that by the grace of Mata Vaishno Devi, the plaintiff of Kashmir has now joined the rail network of the country. He said, "We have always said that from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, and now this dream has become a reality." The Prime Minister also said in a funny manner that all good works are left for him.
Describing this project as a major achievement of his government, PM Modi said that completing this rail link was full of many challenges, such as difficult paths, bad weather, and stones falling from mountains. But the government completed this project by crossing all these obstacles. He said, "The Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla railway line is not only a name, but it is the identity of the new strength of Jammu and Kashmir and the new confidence of India."
Referring to the Chenab and Anji bridges, the Prime Minister said that these bridges will become a new source of prosperity for Jammu and Kashmir. This will promote tourism and other economic sectors will also benefit. Rail connectivity will provide new opportunities to the businessmen of Jammu and Kashmir and will strengthen the industry of the region.
Earlier, PM Modi flagged off the first Vande Bharat train running between Katra and Srinagar. This is the first fast and modern train service between the Kashmir Valley and the Jammu region, which will bring both areas closer.
Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation stone and inaugurated several development projects costing more than Rs 46,000 crore in Katra in the Reasi district, which will speed up the overall development of the region. Through these projects, the infrastructure and service sector of Jammu and Kashmir will improve.
