PM Narendra Modi’s Strong Terror Message At SCO: ‘Terrorism Can’t Be A Strategic Asset’

Bishkek: In the 26th summit of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to the member countries to take united action on the issue of terrorism. In the roundtable meeting, he clearly said that double standards cannot operate on a serious issue like terrorism. PM Modi said that countries which make terrorism a part of their policy or provide shelter and help to terrorists should get a clear message that terrorism cannot become a strategic weapon for anyone. Heads of many SCO countries including Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif were present in this meeting.

Modi and Xi also shook hands. Earlier on Monday, the prime minister had held bilateral meetings with Iranian President Masoud Pejeshkian and Russian President Putin. There is currently no confirmation regarding a separate meeting with Xi Jinping.
