National News: After the Pahalgam terror attack, the Indian Army has intensified its operations against terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. Continuing this offensive, the army launched Operation Shivshakti in Poonch district on Wednesday, following the recently concluded Operation Mahadev in Srinagar. In this latest action, security forces killed two terrorists near the Line of Control (LoC) as they attempted to infiltrate from Pakistan.

How Operation Shivshakti Unfolded

The Army’s White Knight Corps announced on its official X account that troops had foiled an infiltration attempt in the Kasliyan area of Poonch. The post stated, “The Indian Army eliminated two terrorists attempting to cross the Line of Control. Their plans were foiled through swift action and precise firing. Three weapons were seized from the neutralized militants.”

The army further clarified that intelligence inputs from security agencies and the Jammu and Kashmir Police were crucial to the success of the mission. The operation remains underway, as authorities suspect more militants could be hiding nearby.

Suspicious Movement on the LoC Leads to Gunfight

On Tuesday night, soldiers noticed suspicious movement by two individuals near the fence in the Maldivelan area of Degwar sector. The army immediately cordoned off the region. When challenged, the suspects opened fire. In the exchange, both infiltrators were killed. Officials believe the terrorists were plotting a major strike, but their plan was thwarted before they could act.

Operation Mahadev—Eliminating the Pahalgam Attack Mastermind

Just days before Operation Shivshakti, the army executed Operation Mahadev in Srinagar’s Dachigam-Moolnar area. The 48‑hour operation concluded with the elimination of Suleman, also known as Suleimani or Hashim Musa—the key planner of the Pahalgam terror attack—along with his two aides, Suleman Shah, Jibran, and Abu Hamza Afghani. All three were Pakistani terrorists who had been planning large-scale violence in the Kashmir Valley.

Relentless Army Operations Crippling Terror Networks

Over the past several weeks, the Indian Army has launched multiple targeted strikes across Jammu and Kashmir. Intelligence agencies report continuous infiltration attempts from Pakistan, but vigilant soldiers have been intercepting and dismantling these efforts. Several terror modules have been destroyed, weakening the networks of Pakistani handlers and operatives.

These operations demonstrate the army’s shift to swift, precise, and uncompromising action against every terror threat. With Operation Mahadev and Operation Shivshakti, the message is unambiguous: any infiltration from across the border will be met with decisive force and zero tolerance.
