Poonch: Torrential overnight rain has once again brought disaster to the Loran area of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir. Amid relentless heavy rainfall, a sudden cloudburst triggered a massive landslide that swallowed a residential house whole.

What happened when the landslide struck?

All the family members were reportedly inside their home at the time of the incident. Debris and huge boulders came rushing down the hillside with such force that no one had a chance to react. Within moments, the entire house was reduced to a heap of rubble. Seven members of the same family are being confirmed dead in the tragedy. Locals say the house has been completely flattened.
