Punjab News: The worsening situation due to floods in Punjab has affected many districts. Among the most affected areas is Ferozepur district, where Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann visited on Tuesday to see the ground reality. During this, he reached the villages by boat and not only assessed the situation but also directly communicated with the affected families. During this, the Chief Minister became emotional and assured the villagers that the government stands with them in every situation.

Mann Visits Flood-Hit Villages

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann first visited Gatti Rajo village on the banks of the Sutlej river, which is among the most affected areas by the floods. He reached this water-logged village by boat and met the villagers directly. Mann listened to the problems of the families and assured them that no one would be left helpless. He said that in this difficult time, the entire machinery of the government is engaged in serving the people and every need will be given priority.

Direct communication with affected people

While talking to the villagers, the Chief Minister became emotional several times. People shared stories of damage to their homes and fields, to which Mann said that their pain is the government's pain. He assured that every family will soon get compensation and relief material. The Chief Minister specially talked to children and the elderly and promised to take care of their needs.

Reviewed the relief work

During his visit, Mann also held a meeting with administrative officials. He reviewed the progress of relief and rescue operations and gave clear instructions that relief material should reach every affected person on time. He said that any kind of delay or discrimination in the distribution of help will not be tolerated. The Chief Minister himself took stock of the distribution of relief material and asked the officials to strengthen the digital tracking system.

Emphasis on preparing for the future

Chief Minister Mann inspected the banks of the Sutlej river and also discussed the reasons for the flood. He instructed the officials to take concrete steps to prevent such situations in future. During this, he said that disaster management plans will be strengthened and permanent measures will be taken for flood control. He told the villagers that the government will not only provide immediate relief but will also work for their safe future in the long run.
