Punjab Gang War

National News: Panic has returned to Punjab’s gangland after Jaggu Bhagwanpuria’s mother was killed in a targeted attack in Batala. Masked shooters on bikes sprayed bullets at her car. Jaggu’s close aide Karanvir Singh was also killed. The hit was reportedly planned to eliminate Karanvir, but Jaggu’s mother fell victim. This single incident could spiral into a full-blown gang war. Lawrence Bishnoi and Jaggu Bhagwanpuria were once close allies in Punjab’s underworld. Together they commanded networks of shooters, extortion, and weapons smuggling. But after the Sidhu Moosewala case, things turned deadly. Lawrence blamed Jaggu for tipping police about two shooters. Since then, their friendship turned into a blood feud across prison walls.

Death In Batala Sparks Fear

On Thursday night, Batala witnessed gunfire that shook the region. Jaggu’s mother and his gang’s muscleman Karanvir were inside the vehicle. Attackers struck swiftly, vanishing before police arrived. No warning, no escape—just death on a dusty highway. Punjab’s gang politics turned lethal again within minutes.

Inside Jaggu’s Dark Empire

Jaggu hails from Gurdaspur’s Bhagwanpur village and faces over 128 criminal charges. His criminal graph includes murder, extortion, and arms trade. Once an aspiring kabaddi player, Jaggu turned into Punjab’s ‘Extortion King’. He is also accused in the Moosewala murder case. In 2025, he was shifted to a jail in Assam.

Bambiha Gang Claims Attack

The Bambiha gang has claimed responsibility for the hit. Once led by Davinder Bambiha, the gang is now commanded by Gaurav alias Lucky Patial. Lucky operates remotely from Armenia, dodging extradition. From ransom rackets to revenge killings, the Bambiha gang seeks dominance over Bishnoi’s syndicate. They’ve now added Jaggu to their enemy list.

Battle Between Two Mafias

Punjab’s underground is split between two super-gangs: Bishnoi and Bambiha. While Bishnoi controls over 600 sharpshooters nationwide, Bambiha’s network is rapidly expanding. The war isn’t just about territory—it’s for fear and influence. Every attack marks a fresh bid for supremacy. The murder of Jaggu’s mother could tip the balance violently.

Gangland Gadar May Begin

Security agencies fear a spiral of retaliation. With two allies dead, Jaggu’s gang may strike back hard. The specter of a fresh ‘gangland gadar’ looms large. Gunfire, revenge, and death may return to Punjab’s streets. Police are bracing for the next round of bloody headlines.
