Allu Arjun awaits Hyderabad Court's as the bail date get postponed (X/@alluarjun)
Hyderabad News: In the wake of the tragic stampede at the Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad, a woman was killed and her little 8-year-old son seriously injured. Following this, a case has been filed against actor Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management. The case was filed by the family of the deceased woman, involving various sections of the Indian Penal Code. Arjun, who has always been in public's eye and was recently named accused number 11, came under legal scanner after this tragedy on December 4.
On December 27, Pushpa-2 actor appeared virtually in court and argued against the charges brought forth. His defense counsel moved a regular bail petition on his behalf arguing that he be released. Simultaneously, the police also filed a counter-petition opposing the plea for bail. The case has attracted public attention and both the sides are readying themselves for a legal showdown.
On December 13, Allu Arjun was arrested and the Telangana High Court granted him interim bail the very next day for four weeks, awaiting his regular bail hearing. The II Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge has reserved his decision after listening to both the police and Arjun's defense team, pending January 3, 2025. This will decide if the actor will be granted regular bail or remain in legal custody.
The stampede witnessed during the release premier of Pushpa-2, where the entire crowd surged towards getting a glimpse of Allu Arjun, turning tragic with some unfortunate mishap of people running. But for all intents and purposes, an extremely critical legal battle will be created now, seeing the case going into the courts. The results of it would bring everlasting impact on his career in terms of films and define public opinion against him as well.
