Rajasthan Horror: Missing Financier Found Dead In Well, Hands Tied Behind Back; Investigation Underway

Udaipur: The 78-year-old financier, who had been missing for seven day, was found murdered and his body dumped in a well in Bagor police station area of Bhilwara district of Rajasthan on Sunday. Both hands and feet were tied to cement pillars and a cloth was also found wrapped around its mouth.

Where did the incident happen?

According to police, the deceased has been identified as Shobharam Jain, a resident of Bawalas village.

Police arrived on the scene and retrieved the body with the help of an SDRF team and a crane. Police said the man went to the Jain temple of Siriyari in Pali on July 19.

Following the darshan he walked back home alone but never arrived home. His son Bhairulal, after a long search, filed a missing person case at Bagor police station on July 22. 

Where was the victim found?

On Sunday morning, villagers found his body floating in the well and informed the police. The police reached the location and retrieved the body to find it tied to a cement pole and tossed into the well to keep it from coming up. 

The officer of the Bagor Police Station Bachh Raj said that the preliminary investigation has found that the man was a moneylender in the area. So the murder was believed to be a result of a financial disagreement. Preliminary investigation suggests Jain was assaulted before being killed.

According bto police, after a post-mortem at Bagor community hospital, the body was handed over to the family. Police are now investigating the case based on the post-mortem report, technical, and other evidence.
