What Difference Does It Make If Rajya Sabha Functions or Not? Opposition Leader’s Big Remark on Bihar SIR

National New: The monsoon session of Parliament fell prey to uproar for the second consecutive day. On Tuesday, both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha were adjourned till Wednesday after an uproar by opposition members. Amidst the resignation of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, a confrontation was witnessed between the ruling party and the opposition in the Rajya Sabha over the SIR drive in Bihar. 

Opposition MPs in Rajya Sabha demanded a discussion on this in the Upper House. Outside the Parliament, a senior leader of the Samajwadi Party and Rajya Sabha member made a big statement regarding the special intensive revision of the Bihar voter list.

Alleges Vote Conspiracy in Bihar

Targeting the Election Commission and BJP, he said that if there is a conspiracy to divide votes and add votes arbitrarily in Bihar, then what is the meaning of Rajya Sabha functioning or not functioning? He made this comment regarding SIR. 

Which MPs gave notice under 267?

On behalf of the opposition, many MPs, including AAP MP Sanjay Singh and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, gave notice under Rule 267 regarding SIR in Bihar and demanded a discussion in the House. But when the demand was not accepted, there was a lot of uproar inside the Parliament. Opposition MPs also held a big protest on this issue outside the House. MPs including Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, and Akhilesh Yadav were present from the opposition party in this.

The House will be tumultuous on Wednesday!

There is every possibility of uproar in the Parliament on this issue on Wednesday as well. Due to uproar from the opposition parties, the proceedings were first adjourned at 12 o'clock, then at 2 o'clock, and then till Wednesday morning. The monsoon session of the Parliament is going to run from 21 July to 21 August. During this period, the proceedings of the House are proposed to run for 18 days.
