Ratia Bus Stand Awareness Drive: Raahveer Scheme, Cyber Safety And Dial-112 Explained

Ratia (Haryana): An awareness campaign was conducted at the Ratia bus stand to educate the public about road safety, protection against cybercrimes, emergency services, and the harmful effects of substance abuse. During the event, passengers and passersby were informed about the 'Raahveer' scheme and encouraged to provide timely assistance to individuals injured in road accidents.

Assistant Sub-Inspector (Traffic) Rajendra Kumar stated that the public was informed that helping the injured during road accidents is a humanitarian duty and that timely assistance can save lives. Additionally, information regarding the Dial-112 emergency service was provided, and the procedure for obtaining immediate police assistance during any emergency was explained.

During the awareness program, passengers were also apprised of important precautions regarding cyber security. They were advised against clicking on unknown links and sharing OTPs, bank account details, ATM/debit card information, or other confidential data with anyone. They were also encouraged to file a complaint immediately in the event of cyber fraud.

Furthermore, a message was conveyed to the youth, passengers, and passersby to stay away from substance abuse, adopt a healthy lifestyle, and actively contribute to building a drug-free society. The police team appealed to the public to remain aware themselves and to educate their families and those around them about road safety, cybercrime, and the adverse effects of substance abuse.
