Intelligence Bureau inputs also said that Punjab-based gangsters are acting like “foot soldiers” for foreign-operated Khalistani and fundamentalist handlers, posing a serious threat to internal security.
Agencies say that terrorist activities may increase around Republic Day. New Delhi, as well as other big cities, could be potential targets. Special attention is being kept on crowded areas.
Khalistani terrorist organizations have been directly mentioned in the report. It has been said that these organizations are conducting activities from abroad. There may be attempts to carry out conspiracies through local networks.
According to intelligence sources, gangsters are using criminal networks. These people are working on the instructions of foreign handlers. His role is said to be in weapons, funding and logistics support.
