New Delhi: Ten-year-old spiritual orator and content creator Abhinav Arora has spoken out following the backlash from a viral video that features him being scolded by renowned guru Swami Rambhadracharya. The young orator attempted to downplay the situation, asserting that such incidents should not attract national attention.

The controversy ignited after a clip surfaced showing Arora singing bhajans and dancing onstage alongside Swami Rambhadracharya at a religious event. In the video, the guru is seen instructing Arora to step down, stating, “Aap pehle neeche jaao. Inko kaho neeche jaane ke liye (Please step down. Maintain decorum).” This instruction was repeated several times as Arora continued to dance.

Swami Rambhadracharya's remarks

During a press interaction, Swami Rambhadracharya referred to Arora as a “foolish child,” criticizing his claims of divine connection. He said, “Itna murkh ladka hai wo. Wo kehta hai ki Krishna uske sath padhta hai... bhagwan kya uske sath padenge?” (He is a foolish boy. He claims that Lord Krishna studies with him... Will God study with him?)

Abhinav's Response

Responding to the criticism, Arora clarified that the video is not recent, stating, “The video is being portrayed as a recent one from Pratapganj. That is wrong. The video is around a year or a year-and-a-half old, it’s from Vrindavan.” He questioned why his reprimand by a prominent guru was becoming a sensational news story, asking, “Have you never been scolded by your parents or guru?”

Furthermore, Arora addressed the scrutiny regarding his education, emphasizing, “I do go to school. However, it has reached such a stage today, I have been trolled so much, that I have not been able to go to school.” He added that his sister has faced similar challenges due to the backlash he has received.
