Saif Ali Khan survives brutal stabbing: Detains one suspect for questioning today | WATCH

Maharashtra: Bollywood Film Actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed about six times reportedly in his swanky Bandra apartment early this Thursday morning. According to police reports, the occurrence took place approximately at 2 a.m. at the Satguru Sharan building at which Saif stays on 12th Floor with his wife Kareena Kapoor and their two young sons; Taimur is 8 years old while Jeh is just 4. The family was accompanied by the five house-helps during this attack.

CCTV evidence of the accused

The CCTV visuals of the Mumbai Police showed a man wearing a brown T-shirt with a collar and a red scarf running out of the building around 2:33 a.m. The accused, who had a wooden stick and a long Hexa blade, allegedly entered the apartment to commit robbery and escaped after stabbing Saif multiple times.

Saif Ali Khan's injuries and emergency surgery

The actor suffered six stab wounds in the abdomen that had pierced a 2.5-inch knife into his thoracic spinal cord. He was immediately taken to Lilavati Hospital, where emergency surgery took place to drain leaking spinal fluid and remove the knife. According to doctors, Saif is out of danger and is still in the ICU for recovery.

Intruder demanded ₹1 Crore

Philip, who was Jeh's nanny, was the first to face the attacker. She said the man had demanded ₹1 crore. The police did not find any signs of breaking into the flat, so it seems the man entered much before.

Suspect held by Mumbai Police

One man has been arrested on Friday and detained by Mumbai Police for questioning over the case. A man being escorted into Bandra Police Station is seen in a video. More about the suspect are unknown, while officials continue probing this shocking case.
