In a significant political development unfolding in Jharkhand, Sita Soren, a prominent leader of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), announced her resignation from the party on Tuesday, marking a notable turn of events ahead of the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. Of significance, Sita Soren is the sister-in-law of JMM working president and former Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Hemant Soren.

Sita Soren, known for her three-time tenure as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA), is the wife of the late Durga Soren, the elder brother of the former Chief Minister Hemant Soren. Durga Soren passed away tragically in 2009 at the age of 39, leaving a void in both the political and personal realms of the Soren family.
