Squirrel incident in the UK

In a separate incident, a train travelling from Reading to Gatwick Airport in the UK was canceled due to an unexpected issue - two squirrels on board. The squirrels, seemingly frightened and erratic, entered the rear carriage, prompting passengers to move to a different area. Train staff locked the carriage to contain the situation. At Redhill station, a Network Rail employee attempted to coax the squirrels off, but one refused to leave. Despite efforts from Great Western Railway staff, the stubborn squirrel wouldn't budge.

The train service was terminated. The squirrel that refused to leave was returned to Reading. A Great Western Railway spokesperson joked, "Two squirrels boarded without tickets, breaking railway rules. We tried to remove them, but one insisted on staying. This nutty tale ended with its return to Reading." Passengers were inconvenienced, but the unusual incident brought amusement. The train operator handled the situation efficiently, prioritizing passenger safety.
